Systems first
Mechanics should interact, create pressure and generate situations instead of simply delivering scripted outcomes.
Wild Hex develops original tabletop games built around interacting systems, meaningful choices and consequences that reshape what comes next.
We are interested in games where rules do more than resolve actions: they react to them. A decision changes the system, and the system changes what becomes possible next.
Mechanics should interact, create pressure and generate situations instead of simply delivering scripted outcomes.
Good decisions are rarely isolated. They trade one advantage for another and alter the shape of the game that follows.
We look for designs where the state of the game remembers the players' actions and responds to them.
Rules, geometry, systems, boundaries. The part of a game that gives decisions meaning.
Uncertainty, interaction and emergent situations. The part that keeps the structure alive.
Wild Hex is a design and development studio. Projects are built through iteration: define the system, prototype early, test the pressure points and refine what survives.
Find the central tension and the system that can express it.
Get the idea onto the table before polishing it.
Break assumptions, observe play and find where the design bends.
Remove noise, strengthen decisions and prepare the project for its next stage.
Wild Hex projects are currently in development. The Games section is already built and will become the home for each title when it is ready to be shown.
